Troubleshooting

Fixes and workarounds, in the order the evidence supports

This is not a list of things to change. It is a triage order, built from what players reported doing — because the single most useful fact in the mirror is that better hardware does not fix this.

The fact that changes the advice

The mirror contains a 9800X3D with an RTX 4090 reporting 50-60 fps, and a separate review quoting an AMD overlay average of 161 fps on High. Both written in the first week, both describing the same game.

A problem that does not track hardware is not fixed by better hardware, and a table of expected frame rates per GPU would be presenting one anecdote as a specification. There is no such table on this site, and there will not be one, because the data to build it honestly does not exist yet. What follows is what players tried.

    Rule out the obvious first

    Is it your settings?

Do this before anything else, because several reviewers report that lowering settings fixed it, and several report that the same settings are fine. Turning settings down a notch is the cheapest test available and the fastest way to tell an optimisation problem from a machine problem.

Limit: Self-reported, and lower settings also mean lower resolution on some setups. Without a resolution-scale control, the two are not separable.

“fps consistently even with all the graphics settings turned down. It's a shame, feels like it would be fun otherwise, hopefully they patch it to improve things.”

    Hardware does not explain it

    Do better specs fix it?

No. The corpus contains both a 9800X3D with an RTX 4090 reporting 50-60 fps and a review quoting an AMD overlay average of 161 fps on High. A 4090 is not a budget card. The spread is not a hardware tier problem, which rules out the most common and least useful piece of advice on this game.

Limit: Self-reported numbers with no controlled test. These are anecdotes from different machines at different times, not a benchmark.

“At the moment, I cannot recommend this game after testing it on a RTX 4080 (desktop) and a RTX 5090 (laptop). Both get around the same frame rates at the moment. Reading through other gamers reviews, I call bull if you are saying you get decent frame rates wi”

    Third-party tools

    25 of 1,119 written reviews

    Does external upscaling help?

Players report two opposite results. One reviewer enabled frame generation in AMD Adrenaline and found the drops largely resolved. Another tried Lossless Scaling with frame generation and found it introduced a slowdown the game did not otherwise have. A third suggests the problem may be OS or driver-related rather than the game itself.

Limit: Third-party tools interacting badly with a Unity game is plausible and common, but every report here is one person's machine. This is worth trying because it is free, not because it is known to work.

“Great game, but please confirm the roadmap for PC upscaling and frame generation. I run i5‑14600KF, RTX 4070 Ti, 32GB DDR4‑3600 CL18 (2×16GB) on [1440p/4K], High preset, and can't hold stable 60 FPS in busy districts. Will you add/improve NVIDIA DLSS Super Res”

The patch everyone is waiting for

    101 of 1,119 written reviews (9.0%)

    Will a patch fix it?

The most common sentence in the corpus is a conditional. Dozens of reviewers say they expect a patch, that they will change their rating if one lands, or that the game will be good once optimised. Some are still positive despite the frame rate; several negative ones are explicitly conditional on a fix.

Limit: This is expectation, not evidence. A patch may or may not arrive, and this page does not claim it will. Re-check the mirror after it does.

“everyone's complaining about rn, which one can assume will be fixed in a future update, true to the cyberpunk theme. (cough cough, see cyberpunk 2077) - and the feeling of.. superficialness? the outside looks great. stuff looks pretty, you know? BUT. when you”

Nobody on this site has run the game

Everything above is what players reported. None of it is a measurement taken here, and the mirror contains no controlled test — no one was given a build, a settings list and a stopwatch. The measured hardware table is where that evidence goes, and it stays empty until someone actually runs the game on a recorded machine.

Until then, treat every number on this site as a claim by a person with a machine, not a specification.
